Marcin Wolek, associate professor at the Faculty of Economics, University of Gdansk, Poland.
I’m mostly involved in the research and consultancy on the urban public transport, passenger railway transport and sustainable urban mobility.

We have been collaborated with the city of Gdynia for several years supporting the City with analysis, research and scientific background. We proved to be a trustful partner and we have been invited to the SPINE Consortium.

The SPINE project is a very challenging activity because of the Consortium’s size, its complexity and focus on the various, innovative topics. We cannot cover all the interesting activities, therefore we focus on the close collaboration with City of Gdynia, PKA public transport company and Aegan University.

We support the city of Gdynia with the research and evaluation of the buslane concept development. We are also supporting the Aegan University to develop the activity-based model for Gdynia (input data verification).

Better understanding of the travel behaviour of Gdynia’s citizens due to extended modelling and research.

More precise evaluation of the buslane development, especially taking economic and environmental effects into account.

To compare different outputs between cities performing under different economic, social and legal frameworks
