SPINE Project Kickoff Meeting Sets the Stage for Sustainable Network Expansion


Brussels, January 23, 2023 – The SPINE Project, one of the European Commission’s largest scale Missions projects, marked its official inauguration on January 1st, 2023. With a grant of 14.6 million euros under the Horizon Europe Climate, Energy, and Mobility Program, the project aims to accelerate progress towards climate neutrality through the smart integration of public transport systems with new mobility services, sharing schemes, active transport modes, and micromobility.

On January 23rd, the highly anticipated Kickoff Meeting of the SPINE Consortium took place in Brussels, gathering 39 partners from various sectors. Coordinated by INLECOM, the consortium will collaborate over the next four years to pave the way for sustainable network expansion.

The event witnessed an impressive turnout of key decision-makers, industry leaders, researchers, and policymakers, all committed to the shared vision of minimizing environmental impact while expanding networks. The Kickoff Meeting served as a platform for fostering collaboration and initiating a collective effort to develop innovative solutions.
