Welcome kits for new residents – Ukrainian refugees

An additional promotional activity implemented as part of the SPINE project includes welcome kits designed as an adaptation support measure for people who have arrived in Gdynia from Ukraine and are beginning their everyday life in our city. The welcome kit has bilingual promotional materials to facilitate initial orientation in the city by public transport, as well as 12 discounted public transport tickets – try outs to get started with public transport travel.

The packages will be distributed during registration procedures at resident service points. They provide practical support during the initial period of stay in Gdynia.

As part of the nudging activity to start using public transport a simple contest has also been prepared. The new resident only needs to travel by public transport and collect the used tickets – then turn them over to the mobility unit personnel at the City Hall to get a thermal cup in return 😊 The contest is intended exclusively for Ukrainian refugees who receive a welcome package.

The activities carried out under the SPINE project align with the city’s policy of developing public transport that is accessible, understandable, and convenient for everyday use. Improving access to passenger information is one of the steps that helps residents move around Gdynia more efficiently and make informed transport choices every day
